Vector Generator and Pixel Mixer are two applications developed with Max/MSP and Jitter. The applications consist in a set of options capable of generating dimensional geometric elements as well as fractal lines and light spaces.
This is the first exercise developing software or applications made by Dream Addictive Laboratory, the aesthetic goal of this proyect is to present a classic style and dynamic visuals.
Pixel Mixer and Vector Generator allow the regulation of its options by a set of parameters, being this application not limited by a number of encrypted options.
In terms of interaction this applications allow the use of external hardware to control its parameters, it can be a MIDI controller, video camera or even a microphone.
Getting out of the standardized context of analog mixing consoles its one of the intentions of our applications. The abstraction in the visual object, the relation of the none contextual physical space and the reaction before the sound vibration are a few of the characteristics more evident in this two applications.
We aim to explore drawing through code, utilizing the context of sound and digital controllers as vehicles to generate images.
Through this applications we represent a software format which main intention resides in the visual and interaction results, used for live presentations or as tool to develop installations.
This application focuses in the alteration of video by different mathematical values that allow the movie duplicated, generate pixels utilizing its color range, zooming and speeding or slowing the tempo of the movie.
Aesthetically is a game of pixels and rhythms taken to the state of bits, the video just plays the role of raw material allowing the mixer to find through its basic unit (pixel) an aesthetic style basic and modern.

Vector generator is an application that generates vectors or graphics utilizing langages like lingo and java, allows the generation of dimentional graphics as well as the simulation of bidimentional spaces.
Generate drawings utilizing code and bring back the nostalgia of the 8 bits is one of the main characteristics of the vector generator. This application has the capacity of utilizing different types of midi, as well as video cameras, microphones and sensors to manipulate the images out of the usual peripherals.
